• This position may require occasional domestic and international travel to suppliers and Caterpillar facilities to support business objectives and supplier engagement activities.

What You Will Do
• Lead the development and execution of category and sourcing strategies that create value through improved quality, cost, delivery, and supplier performance.
• Partner with global suppliers and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, manage risk, and strengthen supply network resilience.
• Drive commercial discussions and contract negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes and long-term partnerships.
• Use market intelligence, spend analysis, and supplier performance data to support strategic business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion supplier relationship management activities, ensuring suppliers meet expectations for quality, delivery, innovation, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product, manufacturing, and supply chain objectives while balancing operational and commercial priorities.
• Lead and support projects focused on cost reduction, supplier development, process improvement, and supply continuity.
  
  Experience in Procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or a related business function.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret supplier, operational, and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and support business decisions.
• Experience building and managing supplier relationships, including performance management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and influence decisions at multiple levels.
• Experience supporting sourcing activities, contract management, commercial negotiations, and procurement processes within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
