Casual Tutor

Darlington Learning and Skills Service is a highly performing adult and community learning provider. We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, flexible and committed professionals to develop, deliver and assess a range of programmes focusing primarily in Health & Social Care, ICT and Community Based programmes of education. We are looking for tutors who can work with both adults as well as young people aged 16-19. As part of the delivery team, you will have a key role to play in developing, coordinating and delivering accredited and non-accredited learning programmes to meet the needs of our learners. You will develop innovative programmes to inspire learners to progress onto further learning, training, employment and volunteering and take responsibility for increasing participation among those groups who traditionally have low participation in learning.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working with a wide range of learners, including the most vulnerable, who enjoys working on their own initiative and as part of a team. Experience of coordinating programmes would be an advantage.
