Full Job Description

The successful applicant will be required to undergo statutory pre-employment checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service check., We are looking for an enthusiastic coach to join the coaching team to work with children of all ages and abilities. This is a casual role with expected hours to be two hours each Wednesday and Saturday (13:30-15:30) for two terms, the third term has varying hours, but please note a casual role has no guarantee of any fixed working pattern.

The successful candidate should hold a minimum of a Level 2 Coaching qualification and have previous coaching experience.

General

1. To help prepare training plans and to coordinate and run small group training sessions, adapting to the needs of groups or individual pupils as required.

2. To ensure that individual progress is monitored and recorded in the pupil's individual Academy booklet, including identifying areas for further development.

3. To keep up to date with developments within your specific sport, produce innovative ideas and ensure that best practice is adopted.

4. To ensure the Health and Safety policy is implemented and that all equipment is checked and pupils are taught how to use it safely.

5. To be a positive role model, by creating a fun and safe environment within which pupils are motivated and encouraged to fully participate
