Casual Swimming Teachers

We are looking for Casual Swimming Teachers at Bradley Stoke, Kingswood, Thornbury, Longwell Green and Yate! Your role will include..

• Teaching swimming to the required program set out
• Keeping records of the learners achievements
• Ensuring that lessons are set up and cleared away to the procedures
• Maintaining a safe environment at all times following health and safety guidance
• Supporting environmental systems and promote healthy lifestyles, As a Casual Worker you will not work a guaranteed amount of hours, you will cover sickness absences, holidays and will work during
busy periods at the Centres. Shifts may include; days, evenings and weekends Swim England Level 1 Qualified Candidates: Please note that we no longer accept Swim England Level 1 qualifications. If you hold this qualification, we are happy to consider your application, but we will request that you attend an STA Level 2 Award course prior to starting your role with us. We will also ask you to attend a poolside assessment as part of the interview process. You can either make arrangements to attend a course yourself, or we can arrange for you to attend one of our in-house courses. If you are offered a contracted role and choose to qualify with us, we will fund 100% of the STA Level 2 Award course subject to you signing a training agreement. If you are offered a casual role and choose to qualify with us, we will fund 50% of the course

• Hold at least STA Level 2 Award in Swim Teaching qualification, Please note that the STA have two qualifications - the Level 2 Award and the Level 2 Certificate. Although the STA refer to them
both as Level 2, the Certificate is a higher qualification. In order to differentiate the two qualifications, we refer to teachers who are Award qualified as Level 1 and will be paid at Level 1 rate, and teachers that are Certificate qualified as Level 2 and will be paid at Level 2 rate.
