Full Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and flexible Casual Merchandiser/Driver to support our magazine distribution and newspaper and lifestyle magazine displays in supermarkets, convenience stores and other retail outlets across York. 


You will help ensure our products are always well presented, in stock and easy for customers to find.


What we offer

Key Responsibilities

  • Visiting a set list of stores in and around York according to an agreed schedule.
  • Delivering newspapers and magazines to outlets using your own vehicle.
  • Merchandising our displays: tidying stands, rotating stock and ensuring products are displayed well.
  • Implementing and maintaining in-store promotions and point-of-sale materials.
  • Checking stock levels, reporting any issues and feeding back store information.
  • Building positive relationships with store staff and acting as a friendly, professional ambassador for our brands.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle suitable for carrying bundles of newspapers and magazines.
  • Previous retail, merchandising or field-based experience is helpful but not essential
  • A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Good attention to detail, especially when setting up displays and promotions.
  • Flexibility to work across weekdays and occasional weekends, depending on store needs.
