About this Role
At Radley College, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter / Joiner to join our dedicated Maintenance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse and historic estate, carrying out a broad range of carpentry, joinery and general maintenance tasks while contributing to the smooth operation of our outstanding facilities.
You will provide a high-quality, customer-focused service across the College estate, undertaking repairs, installations, bespoke joinery projects and refurbishment works. Working as part of a skilled team, you will respond to maintenance requests, support planned maintenance programmes and help ensure our buildings and facilities remain safe, functional and presented to the highest standards.
We are looking for a skilled tradesperson with a recognised Carpentry/ Joinery qualification or significant relevant experience. Someone who takes pride in their workmanship, be able to work independently, and enjoy being part of a supportive team.
Essential requirements
- Recognised carpentry/joinery qualification or substantial practical experience.
- Experience undertaking maintenance, repair and installation work.
- Ability to carry out multi-trade maintenance tasks alongside core carpentry duties.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Sound understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Full UK driving licence
Hours of work are 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
