As a Carpenter, you'll help maintain the facilities that support sport, wellbeing and community activity. Your work will have a direct impact on the experience of visitors, athletes and colleagues, ensuring buildings remain safe, functional and welcoming. From planned maintenance to reactive repairs, your expertise will help create a positive impact on communities while supporting a trusted environment where people can thrive.

What you'll do as a Carpenter

- Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, maintenance and improvement works across the site's building fabric and associated facilities.

- Complete planned preventative maintenance activities to help keep facilities safe, compliant and operational.

- Undertake carpentry works using a range of specialist tools and equipment, including electrical saws and woodworking machinery.

- Perform fire door inspections, repairs and maintenance, including fire stopping activities.

- Support health and safety initiatives, safe systems of work and continuous improvement activities across the site.

- Communicate maintenance issues, defects and parts requirements promptly to supervisors and managers.

Completed a recognised carpentry apprenticeship or relevant structured training programme.

- Hold relevant City and Guilds, BTEC or equivalent carpentry qualifications.

- Have experience working in a maintenance, facilities, construction or similar environment.

- Possess a good understanding of building services and maintenance practices.

- Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills.

Monday to Thursday, with participation in an on-call rota. Shift work may be required and overtime may be available.£22,000 - £23,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
