Full Job Description
As a Carpenter, you will carry out a wide range of carpentry and building fabric maintenance tasks-both planned and reactive-across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board sites. Your work will include:
+ Installation, repair and maintenance of building fabric and structural components
+ Fire door inspections, repairs and compartmentation checks
+ Ironmongery repairs, lock maintenance and key cutting
+ Operation of woodworking machinery and various specialist equipment
+ Supporting other trades and contributing to minor improvement works
+ Using digital systems such as PDAs, tablets and maintenance management software
+ Ensuring full compliance with Health Board policies, safety standards and Building Regulations
This is a hands-on role requiring technical skill, problem-solving and the ability to work independently across a variety of environments, including confined spaces, heights, and hot/cold areas.
