Full Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and dependable Caretaker to help maintain the safety, cleanliness, appearance and day-to-day operation of Chesterfield Justice Centre. Working independently and as part of the wider facilities team, you will undertake a varied range of caretaking, cleaning, portering and minor maintenance duties.
Role Responsibilities
-Carry out general caretaking, cleaning, portering, painting and decorating duties, helping to maintain the building's internal and external areas to a high standard.
-Act as a key holder when required, including unlocking and securing the premises and setting the building alarm system.
-Complete routine checks and planned preventative maintenance tasks, support the on-site Engineer and report faults or breakdowns through the Helpdesk.
-Undertake minor repairs and resolve day-to-day issues, including blocked drains, toilets, spillages and the replacement or movement of furniture.
-Prepare courtroom equipment and furniture, receive and move goods and supplies, complete relevant audits and provide emergency facilities cover when required.
Previous experience within a handyperson, caretaker or maintenance environment.
-Previous experience working in a customer-facing environment.
-Demonstrate passion, drive and motivated characteristics.
-A clean driving licence and the physical ability to undertake manual handling duties.
-Please note that this position is subject to a DBS check.
