Caretaker

Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust is seeking a committed, proactive and reliable Multi-Site Caretaker to join our Estates Team. This is an important operational role supporting the delivery of safe, secure and well-maintained school environments across a number of Trust school sites.

The role will be based at St Peter's CE Primary School, Harrogate. The successful candidate will also be required to work flexibly across other Trust schools, depending on operational need. Where travel is required away from the base school during the working day, mileage will be reimbursed in line with Trust arrangements. Travel time between sites during the working day will be treated as working time.

This is a full-time role designed to provide greater flexibility, resilience and consistency across the Trust's estate. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, particularly in relation to working across multiple school environments, site-specific procedures and compliance requirements.

The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of practical responsibilities including:

Site security, including opening and closing premises

Routine maintenance and basic repairs

Health and safety checks and compliance monitoring

Statutory and premises-related checks, including visual inspections and basic compliance tasks

Porterage, deliveries and room setup

Grounds maintenance and general upkeep

Painting, basic DIY and practical improvement works

Supporting contractors and ensuring works are completed safely

Responding to day-to-day operational issues across Trust sites
