Full Job Description
As a caretaker, your role will be essential in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children and young people within our school community. You will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests and defect reports, while also supporting the setup of events and activities that bring our school to life. Safety is paramount, and you will play a key role in marshalling traffic during peak times, ensuring the protection of both pedestrians and road users. You will also be trusted with opening and locking up the school site, coordinating with emergency services when needed, and handling critical incidents as they arise. Additionally, you'll be responsible for delivering mail and parcels around the campus, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the grounds are always tidy. When required, you will also have the opportunity to drive the school minibuses, helping to support our transport needs. This is a varied and rewarding role that allows you to make a direct impact on the smooth running of the school and the safety of our students and staff. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 at varying hours as per the shift pattern, where evening and weekend work may be required.
- Salary from £27,297, dependant on experience
- 40 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays) for full-time, year-round staff
