Full Job Description
Careers Worcestershire has a new and exciting role as a Careers and Employment Advisor based at our new Redditch Careers Hub. Supporting young people aged 16-24 into positive destinations to achieve their career aspirations. As a Careers and Employment advisor you will be part of a dynamic team using our young person centred approach that supports young people into employment, education or training. Careers Worcestershire provides young people with a safe, friendly, inclusive, and welcoming environment where they can access helpful support and advice. THE ROLE - 35 hours per week a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2026 with a view to extending. In delivering the role, you will empower young people (aged 16-24) through group and individual mentoring sessions.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working directly with young people aged 16-24, being able to engage and relate well to this age group, including those who are vulnerable or in crisis. You will ideally have experience of delivering 1:1 or group mentoring sessions and knowledge of the fundamentals of mentoring and youth work, along with experience of designing and developing resources for young people., While you are working hard, doing your best for the people of Worcestershire, we will do our best to provide an environment that supports and inspires you. - Great Holiday Entitlement: As well as bank holidays, you'll get 26 days paid holiday (pro rata for part-time staff). This goes up to 31 days when you have been with us for 5 years.
