CAREERS & EMPLOYABILITY LEAD (Ref: 26/09) 18½ hours per week, all year round Actual salary: SFCA Support Pay Spine : £16,099 - £17,697 (Points 15-18) An exciting opportunity has arisen at Gateway College for a Careers and Employability Lead. In this role you will support learners and teachers to identify and secure work experience placements with local employers and agencies, and embed work experience into the curriculum, and to administrate processes effectively and efficiently. Duties will include:

• To build and maintain strong employer partnerships with local, regional and national employers to facilitate subject specific meaningful work experience.
• Organising work placements for students at all levels and in all industries.
• To prepare students to go out on work experience running employability workshops and presentations to ensure that they are ready for the workplace.
• To facilitate subject specific employer engagement to support the work of tutors and teachers within the curriculum.
• To provide an impartial CIAG service to students to inform their progression to further/higher education, training and/or employment.
• Carry out work experience and industry placement onsite visits and assessments.
• To assist in arranging employer events for students, such as speed networking, mock interviews, HE events, employer breakfasts and career fairs.
• To work with the LLBSP to organise appropriate CIAG/employability events to develop and implement careers improvements as assessed by Gatsby benchmarks.
