Full Job Description

Yeovil College is looking for a Careers & Employability Co-ordinator to join our successful Employer Engagement team. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with their career ambitions while coordinating meaningful work experience and industry placements that prepare them for future success. We're keen to hear from applicants with experience in careers advice, employability, recruitment, apprenticeships, education, training, employer engagement, work experience, placements or student support. You'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering careers information, advice and guidance to learners.
  • Coordinating work experience and industry placements.
  • Building strong relationships with employers and curriculum teams.
  • Delivering careers, employability and progression workshops.
  • Supporting learners into employment, apprenticeships and higher education.

    Are you passionate about helping people achieve their potential? Do you enjoy building relationships, delivering engaging advice and creating opportunities that make a lasting difference?, Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with young people, employers or customers.
  • Confidence delivering presentations or group sessions.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
