Careers and Community Liaison Officer (0.4 FTE - 2 days p / w, Fixed Term)

About Role: This role is to lead a careers provision for students that offers outstanding opportunities, and mutual supportive relationships and learning for parents, families and community for the benefit of all students.

• Building a careers provision that exceeds Gatsby benchmarks, exposes students regularly to ambitious opportunities in both higher education and careers, and maintain and build networks and relationships with universities, public sector organisations and businesses who will offer opportunities and links for students at MSfG
• Ensuring that students are regularly exposed to role models in different careers and areas of study or employment, particularly role models who reflect female, Black and minority ethnic achievement, and those working in the both STEM and Arts fields
• Working through teachers, middle leaders, form tutors, YLCs and SLT to ensure that careers education is embedded into the wider school curriculum, and that working through YLCs, tutors, mentors, sixth form team and other staff, every single student is able to progress after KS4 and 5 to a secure destination
• Working closely with the SLT community lead, and team, to ensure that all families are able to successfully engage with the community learning programme, and that they feel represented and able to work collaboratively with the school for the benefit of all students, families and the community
