Location: Old Windsor, Berkshire, GB, SL4 2

Contracts: Permanent, term-time only

Work Schedule: 39 weeks in the academic year

Salary: between I22 26,252.93 and I25 28,633.35 (29,987.00 to 32,706.00 FTE), dependent on qualifications and experience

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Careers Adviser to join our team, working across Strodes College and Windsor College. The primary purpose of the role is to deliver impartial information, advice and guidance (IAG) to students through various methods, including group workshops, drop-in sessions, one-to-one appointments, and online support.

Main Responsibilities

  • Help students identify realistic and aspirational progression pathways, supporting them to make informed decisions and achieve their full potential.
  • Focus on employability and progression, assisting with career planning, apprenticeships, further and higher education routes, and job opportunities.
  • Support the UCAS process, including applications, interviews, and student finance.
  • Contribute to staff CPD where appropriate.
  • Lead on careers-related events and activities across the College, working with curriculum departments, the Core Studies team, and the Careers and Placements team.
  • Organize employer talks, university visits, HE fairs, progression events, and external partnerships.
  • Support key college-wide priorities such as transition programs, external audits and inspections (including Matrix and Ofsted), and tracking student destinations and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Level 6 qualification in Advice and Guidance (preferred).
  • Consideration given to candidates with a Level 4 qualification and relevant experience, with a commitment to professional development.
