At Westgate Healthcare, we're looking for a fantastic Care Team Leader to join our team and play a key role in supporting our residents to live happy, fulfilling and dignified lives. If you're someone who leads by example, genuinely enjoys helping others, has a can-do attitude and believes in treating every person with kindness, compassion and respect, we'd love to hear from you!About this role 8:00am - 8:00pm 3-4 shifts per week Alternate weekend working required As a Care Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of our residents' daily lives while providing guidance and support to the wider care team. You'll help ensure consistently high standards of care, while creating a positive environment where both residents and colleagues can thrive. Your role will include:

  • Leading by example to provide high-quality, person-centred care, supporting residents with all aspects of daily living while promoting their dignity, independence and wellbeing.
  • Safely administering medication in line with prescribed instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Supporting, guiding and supervising members of the care team, helping colleagues to deliver consistently high standards of care.
  • Supporting the induction, training and development of new team members, sharing your knowledge and experience.
  • Completing, monitoring and reviewing residents' care plans, making sure they remain accurate, current and responsive to changing needs.
  • Ensuring care records and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining clear and comprehensive daily records and ensuring important information is communicated effectively across the team.
  • Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing, recognising changes and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Working closely with GPs, healthcare professionals, Support Managers and colleagues to ensure residents receive the right care and support.
  • Helping to create a positive, welcoming and supportive environment for residents, families and colleagues.
  • Supporting the wider team to maintain excellent standards of care, teamwork and professionalism.

  • Previous experience in a care home or working with the elderly is essential to be considered
  • QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Medication trained
