Care Home Chef - North London - Phoenix Resourcing Services - London

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Care Home Chef to join our friendly team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering nutritious, well-balanced, and appetizing meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents. • Plan and prepare high-quality, nutritious meals in line with residents' dietary requirements and preferences
• Cater for a range of dietary needs, including allergies, cultural requirements, and specialised diets (e.g. soft/pureed diets)
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards in accordance with regulations (e.g. HACCP)
• Manage stock ordering, rotation, and kitchen budgets effectively
• Work closely with care staff to ensure mealtimes are enjoyable and meet individual resident needs
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
  
  Previous experience as a chef, ideally within a care home, healthcare, or similar environment
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3 desirable)
• Knowledge of nutritional needs of older people
• Ability to plan menus and manage kitchen operations independently
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
