Full Job Description
To be able to confidently and independently carry out mental health and risk assessments, devise plans of care and offer a range of interventions within a community setting., To work as part of the Multi disciplinary team. Work as a Care Coordinator to an identified caseload of young people. To be able to skilfully engage young people and their families. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies. A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010. Experiencing symptoms of Early Onset Psychosis/At risk mental state. Have co-existing substance use needs. Display Harmful Sexual behaviour.,
- Relevant professional qualification e.g RMN. RN, HV, OT, clinical psychology, Social Worker at degree level or higher; teaching qualification
- Registration with relevant professional body. Desirable
- Qualification in therapeutic approaches with children and families. Experience Essential
- Skills and experience of working with children, young people and families around a range of emotional/mental health, behavioural and additional health or developmental needs.
- Experience of Multi agency work.
- Experience of working within a community setting and caseload management.
- Proven post qualification experience. Desirable
- Evidence of the ability to use and provide clinical supervision.
- Community experience.
- Experience of working with young people who have been involved with the Youth Justice system and/or young people who use substances and an understanding of the impact of this on mental health.
- Experience of working with young people with First onset psychosis., Knowledge of relevant legislation and documents pertaining to children (e.g. Children's Act, Mental Health Act, NSF, Every Child Matters, Future In Mind).
- Knowledge and experience of provision of a holistic emotional/mental health assessment.
- Knowledge and experience of the provision of different models of therapy and interventions.
- Ability to manage a defined caseload and organise own work schedule.
- Ability to maintain accurate case records in line with Trust policies and procedure.
- Ability to be an autonomous practitioner whilst being able to work as an integral part of a multi-agency locality team.
