Full Job Description

We're offering FT hours with a range of shift options, including long days, early, late and night shifts across weekdays and weekends. We'll talk through your availability and what works for you, while making sure we cover the shifts the home needs to provide the best care for our residents. Please note: We're unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. You'll play a key role in supporting the management team to deliver high standards of person-centred care within a residential home setting. Working alongside colleagues, you'll help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and dignified care tailored to their individual needs. This is a hands-on role where you'll support with personal care, oversee care delivery, administer medication when trained, and help create a warm, stimulating environment where residents feel valued and supported to maintain their independence. Some of our homes may have limited public transport links, and some shifts start early or finish late. You'll therefore need reliable transport to and from work. What you'll be doing

  • Support the day-to-day running of the home alongside management, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
  • Provide and oversee personal and practical care, including mobility, hygiene, nutrition and wellbeing support.
  • Develop, review and maintain accurate care plans and records in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Administer, order and monitor medication (when authorised) and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, taking observations and liaising with healthcare professionals.

Clinical and practical competence, empathetic leadership with a passion for providing person-centered care. Key priorities include safe medication administration, calm crisis management, clear communication with families, and maintaining regulatory standards to foster a safe, supportive care home environment.
  • A kind, compassionate and patient approach with a genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Previous experience working in a care setting and supporting older people.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (Level 3 or willingness to work towards).
  • Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of care planning, medication administration and person-centred care.
