Full Job Description

Starting as a Care Assistant, you can earn up to £13.50 per hour within the first 12 to 18 months, and learn valuable specialised clinical skills in the process. Our fasttrack Care Assistant programme is now open to new applicants who demonstrate our Values, are motivated to learn how to deliver outstanding care. We're now looking for warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Care Assistants. If this sounds like the place for you, we'd love to hear from you! ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of care to vulnerable patients. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with all their personal needs, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times
  • Ensure documentation is completed in a timely fashion, reflecting the care delivered and escalate concerns regarding a patients' health and wellbeing to the nurse in charge at the earliest possible opportunity
  • Be friendly, kind and compassionate towards patients, relatives, visitors, and colleagues, respecting the dignity and individuality of each patient

    To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Experience is preferred but not required as we are proud to offer a thorough induction and training programme, after which you will work towards your Care Certificate qualification so you can gain confidence within your role.

  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards patients and other people in the home
  • Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members
  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice
