Full Job Description
Female applicants with a full driving license and access to their own care are required for this role. Do you want a job where you can genuinely get to know the people you support? At ND Care & Support, our care assistants provide care to people in their own homes, helping them stay independent and comfortable. You'll be joining a supportive team, receive ongoing training and support, and have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the people you care for. What will you be doing? Every day is different, but your visits will include things like:
- Personal and intimate care Helping with dressing, washing, toileting and other personal care. You must be comfortable providing intimate care with dignity and respect
- Medication Supporting people to take their medications safely and on time, in line with their care plans
- Food preparation and domestic help Preparing meals, drinks and snacks. Helping people with everyday household tasks like tidying, laundry and keeping the person's environment safe and comfortable
- Companionship, conversation and emotional support One of the key elements of the role. You'll get to know the people you support, have a chat, listen to what's important to them and be someone they can rely on. Sometimes just having a familiar, friendly face can make the world of difference to someone's day
- Travelling between visits You will be driving between homes throughout the local area, so it is essential that you have a full driving licence and your own vehicle

- Able to travel between service users
- A female driver with a full driving license and their own car Previous care experience is welcome, but full training is provided and this can also be an opportunity to begin or to develop your career in care work. Important requirements
- You are female Section 7(2b) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 applies that there is a genuine occupational requirement for female staff for these positions.
- You hold a full UK or international driving license
- You have your own reliable vehicle
- You are comfortable providing intimate care
- You are willing to complete an Enhanced DBS Check
- You are physically able to carry out manual handling tasks

- £15.07 per hour Monday to Friday, £15.63 per hour on weekends Rates include rolled-up holiday pay
- A structured rota with every other weekend off You'll work on a planned rota, giving you consistency and letting you know what to expect from your week
- £250 joining bonus Complete your first 100 hours and you'll receive a £250 bonus
- Paid travel time + 25p per mile You'll be paid for the time you spend travelling between the first and last home you visit, and will receive mileage reimbursement
You don't need years of previous experience in care. We'll provide all the training and support you need to become confident in your role,
