Care Assistant

We are unable to offer a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for this role.

You don't need qualifications or previous care experience to become a Care Assistant. Skills can be taught, and we'll give you the training and support to learn them. What we believe makes a good carer is empathy, compassion, patience and a big heart.

As a Care Assistant at Hatherleigh Nursing Home, you'll get to know our family members as individuals and support them to live their everyday lives with dignity, choice and independence.

What does the role involve?

Personal care is an important part of the role. You'll support family members with everyday needs including washing, dressing and bathroom visits, always respecting their choices, preferences and dignity. You may also support people living with dementia, taking the time to understand how each person communicates and what helps them feel comfortable and reassured.

Training & Support

You'll receive a 12-week induction with an assigned mentor, CPD-accredited training through our Care Academy, ongoing learning and development, part-funded NVQ support and access to a specialist welfare helpline 24/7.

£12.75 per hour
