ABOUT THE ROLE As a Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. You'll assist with daily living, providing support and companionship and sharing great moments and memories too. It's a chance to bring your dedication and compassion to a fulfilling environment. Every day will be different, so you can expect to undertake work that's as varied as it is rewarding. As a Care Assistant, you could be doing anything from supporting residents with their food and drink and following care plans to ensuring that each of our residents has one-to-one time. It's an opportunity to put your skills to meaningful use and develop your career. This position is a part time evening shift role. 5pm-8pm, 4 evenings one week and then 3 evenings the next. 12 hrs one week, 9 the next. Each day will offer varied tasks, such as supporting residents with their meals and drinks, following care plans, and ensuring one-on-one time with each resident. This part-time position involves evening shifts from 5pm to 8pm, four evenings one week and three evenings the next, totaling 12 hours one week and 9 hours the next. To be successful, some experience in caring for older people, a can-do attitude, and excellent communication skills are needed.
