Full Job Description
Obelisk House provides exceptional levels of support in residential and Dementia care. It is situated in a residential suburb in Northampton and it offers a wonderful living environment in which our residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life. We have teams of friendly and committed staff who provide the highest level of dementia care and residential care. With our great accommodation and facilities and a programme of activities, our care home evoke a home from home atmosphere in which our residents can feel comfortable, content and very well cared for.What will you be doing? Help people feel safe, valued and empowered every single day. We believe care is more than support - it's about creating comfort, independence and moments of joy. You'll play a vital role in helping people regain confidence, maintain dignity and live life their way. From helping someone settle comfortably for the day/night to sharing meaningful conversations and activities, no two days are the same.
- Supporting customers with personal care, washing and dressing
- Encouraging independence, confidence and daily living skills
- Promoting nutrition, hydration and wellbeing
- Supporting with medication and manual handling
- Taking part in arts, crafts and engaging activities
- Building positive relationships with customers and healthcare professionals
- Ensuring accurate documentation and reporting concerns appropriately
- Creating a warm, safe and supportive environment where customers feel truly noticed
We're looking for caring, dependable people who want to make a real difference. Experience isn't essential - your attitude is. You'll need: - A kind, compassionate and patient nature
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and a willingness to learn
- A respectful and positive approach to supporting others
- The ability to work days and some weekends
- A passion for helping people feel safe, valued and independent Experience in care is desirable, but full training and support will be provided. Unfortunately, this role does not meet the requirements for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. We are unable to accept applications from individuals currently on full-time sponsorship looking for either a second job or a new main sponsored role.
