Full Job Description
We are looking for a caring and motivated Care Assistant to join our team at Oakmead, a registered care home in Weston Turnville supporting people with learning and physical disabilities. What you will do As a valued member of our team, you will support the people we support with a range of daily tasks, including:
- Personal care
- Mealtimes and social activities
- Day trips and community involvement
- Attending appointments and promoting health and wellbeing
- Encouraging involvement in shopping, cooking and domestic tasks
- Helping individuals develop confidence, independence and life skills You will follow personalised support plans to ensure that each person receives consistent, high-quality and compassionate support that aligns with their choices and aspirations. About you We are looking for someone who:
- Is caring, enthusiastic and driven by the desire to make a positive difference
- Understands the importance of treating people with respect and supporting inclusion
- Can adapt communication styles to meet a variety of needs
- Works well as part of a team and values collaboration
- Is flexible to work shifts, including some weekends and bank holidays Previous care experience is welcome, but we also encourage people who are new to care to apply. Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to complete sleep-in shifts What we offer
