Full Job Description

  • Triage referrals from various establishments, wards, CAU/SDEC, tertiary centres and GP's
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills when dealing with patients,relativesand staff
  • Deliver patient education during inpatient stay, involve relatives/carers if appropriate
  • Participate in outpatient clinics, assessing thepatientsclinical condition andidentifyingindividual risk factors. Provide education and guidancein accordance withthe patients' needs
  • Be responsible fora caseload of patients, including implementing andmonitoringthe patient's management plan
  • Maintain clinical competency asrequiredto meet the needs of patient caseload
  • Be competent to analyse the findings of investigations and diagnostic testing and act in the best interest of the patient, for example - echocardiograms, ECG's, blood tests etc
  • Work closely with consultant cardiologists discussing individual cases and taking advice when necessary
  • Adhere tothe Nursing and Midwifery Council's Code of Conduct as well as conforming to Trust Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
  • Refer to different specialities as needed

    We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic cardiac nurse to join our team with a focus on secondary prevention in cardiovascular care. The ideal candidate will be able to organise and prioritise their own workload, deliver excellent patient care, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be computer literate.
