Full Job Description

The post holder will be an experienced and independent practitioner, responsible for delivering a wide range of complex cardiac diagnostic investigations and procedures, both invasive and non-invasive, across various clinical settings. In the role, the post holder will support high standards of clinical care through expert practice, quality assurance, and professional development. The role involves active participation in the delivery of the 24/7 PPCI service (which includes participation in the on-call rota) Provide mentorship and training of junior staff and students, and continuous contribution to service development and innovation. The post holder will also play a key role in ensuring patient safety, service effectiveness, and adherence to national and local policies and protocolsMain duties of the job Actively participate in a range of clinical service areas to include 12 lead ECG, ambulatory monitoring, physiology-led exercise tolerance testing, Cardiac TILT testing, cardiac angiography and cardiac rhythm management To manage own case- load using clinical expertise and judgement to prioritise workload and ensure the service is used effectively and appropriately. Practices in accordance with the Society of Cardiological Science and Technology Code of Conduct. Is accountable for own practice and for appropriate delegation of responsibilities he/she delegates to colleagues Report to the relevant Lead Physiologist; with the ability to work independently and part of a team. Work closely with other physiologists, nurses, consultants, medical and nursing team The post involves a variety of communication methods, and you will be expected to communicate effectively with all colleagues and patients. Ensure accurate records are maintained regarding all implants and all Cath lab cases i.e. patient details, device details, chronologically accurate case report for consultant sign off, accurate reporting of all inventory consumables used. Participate in audit processes and regular team meetings
