Full Job Description

As a CIU Admin Assistant you will be part of a forward thinking team, assisting in providing an administrative service including responding to patients and staff face to face and via telephone, answering emails and booking tests and appointments that come from internal and external referrers., To provide an excellent administration service within the Cardiac Investigation Unit. To deal with telephone inquiries in a polite, helpful and courteous manner whilst making sure that patient confidentiality is maintained. To assist in the CIU administrators in managing referrals and booking of patients for investigations., Please see attached job description and person specification for full details of roles and responsibilities

  • GCSE English Language (grade C or above), Previous administrative experience or equivalent
  • Experience working as part of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Clerical/office administration experience within a healthcare environment, Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, coordinate and prioritise
  • Ability to problem solve and cope under pressure
  • Ability to liaise with other staff and departments
  • Ability to work as a team in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Understanding of the need for confidentiality
