Full Job Description
You will provide specialist clinical expertise in managing staff and patients within the Cardiology department. Lead and coordinate the Cath Labs clinical, managerial and educational requirements, ensuring adequate systems are in place to support continuity 24/7. Provide nursing leadership which empowers staff to deliver patient- centred, evidence based nursing care within a defined budget. Maintain and monitor standards of care to ensure patient safety and quality of care. Accountable for providing clinical and managerial leadership by leading by example to maintain visibility and accessibility to staff, patients and visitors, including undertaking direct clinical care of patients. Provide direct educational and clinical support and education to the staff of the Cardiology department by developing and applying evidence-based practice. Accountable for the line management of the team and deliver the delegated responsibilities of budget holder for the area., As Cardiac Catheter Lab Manager develop and maintain key working relationships and deliver effective and empathetic communication with patients, relatives, carers and staff. Plan and organise the management of the efficient day-to-day running of the catheter lab. Use analytics to evaluate the catheter lab and make improvements. Accountable for patient care, treatment and therapy. Ensure Trust's policies are adhered to and development considered and implemented when appropriate. Responsible for finance, equipment and other resources within the department. Promotes supervision and leads by example. Ensure information resources are fully utilised and administrative duties are maintained.
