Full Job Description
A high profile, accessible and responsive capacity manager with responsibility for ensuring effective and efficient patient flow though the hospital pathway. Responsible for escalation of issues with patient flow and capacity within own area and ability to support the implementation of decisions taken by the Senior Medical and Nursing Teams, to ensure agreed standards, objectives and targets are met., To collate information relating to patient flow and allocate patients requiring admission, consulting with the management teams in a timely fashion. Ensuring correct priority is given to patients whilst balancing emergency and elective pressures.
To provide assistance to Ward staff in planning for and carrying out patient discharges. Work collaboratively with outside organisations and cross departmentally, to support patient care pathways including repatriation management and escalation.
