Full Job Description
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Acute Oncology Service (AOS) in providing essential clerical support to clinical nurse specialists and consultants, coordinating care for patients with emergency cancer treatment complications. Key responsibilities include triaging patient calls, managing clinical systems (e.g. patient tracking), scheduling, and producing service data for audits.,
- Patient Coordination: Acting as the main contact for inquiries, tracking patients throughout the cancer pathway to prevent delays
- Administrative Support: Organizing meetings, taking minutes, and handling referrals for the Acute Oncology Team.
- Communication: Acting as a liaison between patients, carers, GPs, and staff within the Trust and external organisations.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
