Cancer MDT Coordinator

The main purpose of the MDT Co-ordinator role is to support the clinical team and patient pathways at the Cancer MDT Meeting to ensure that the Trust meets the requirements of the national Cancer Waiting Time Standards. This will involve collecting data from a variety of sources and entering the data items into the Trust's cancer database Somerset. The post holder will need excellent organisational and communication skills and a good attention for detail to be successful in the role., The post holder will be supporting the cross cover of all tumour sites with dedicated time to support the Gynaecology MDT meetings where required.

They will work with the clinical teams and liaise closely with their band 4 tracker to ensure all patients receive the upmost care. The post holder will ensure that all patients progress through their pathway post MDT, ensuring all treatment plans and next steps are in place or escalated. The aim of an MDTC is to provide the highest quality of care to patients and ensure they are being processed effectively and efficiently through the cancer pathway.
