An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse with cancer leadership experience to join the Cancer Centre at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust supporting the Lead Cancer Nurse and Head of Cancer Performance in the ambition to provide high quality timely cancer care and to support and achieve the objectives set out within the National Cancer Plan .

The successful applicant will be expected to work with a motivated and enthusiastic team to influence Cancer Care across the whole Trust.

As a strong leader, the post holder will work with teams across the Trust to ensure that our cancer patients at NUH, have the best possible experience supporting the Lead Cancer Nurse in embedding projects such as Personalised Care and ACCEND throughout all our cancer pathways., With an understanding of National Cancer Performance targets and a desire to improve the quality and timeliness of cancer care across the Trust the post holder will work in collaboration with the NUH Cancer Leadership team and a variety of NUH cancer teams to lead on enhancing cancer patient experience and identifying barriers to achieving performance compliance, working with service improvement teams to overcome these. The post holder will support the ongoing development and sustainability of the personalised care and support agenda within Cancer services across the Trust, building on previous work streams and embedding the use of Holistic Needs Assessments and care planning, Treatment Summaries, Health and Wellbeing initiatives and the use of risk stratified pathways and remote monitoring solutions.

The post holder will be expected to demonstrate and report how their input impacts cancer performance across the trust and the benefits of a whole pathway approach to sustaining personalised care. The post holder will be a strong clinical leader with experience in cancer services and proven involvement in change management, able to engage with all staff members involved in cancer services provision across NUH.

The post holder will lead the Quality Surveillance Programme and manage the staff and budget accordingly assuring the necessary trust deadlines and programme are met, ensuring that all patients receive timely, high quality and safe cancer care.

You will need to be a registered Nurse with experience in cancer care at a senior level, an enthusiastic and conscientious team player with the ability to engage and influence Multi-Disciplinary Teams in providing first class cancer care provision.
