Cancer Business Transformation Partner - Head and Neck RDC

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Cancer Business Transformation Partner to lead a Change Programme, the development and implementation of aHead and Neck Rapid Diagnostic Centre (RDC) across Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

You will play a pivotal role in transforming diagnostic pathways to meet national cancer programme objectives, improving timely access to diagnosis and enhancing patient experience. Working collaboratively with clinical, operational, and corporate teams, you will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Head and Neck RDC model, ensuring alignment with NHS England guidance and local strategic priorities.

The postholder will work across organisational boundaries, engaging with acute, community, and primary care partners to develop streamlined pathways, remove barriers to access, and ensure equitable service provision for the Mid and South Essex population.

You will provide project and programme leadership, driving service redesign, stakeholder engagement, performance improvement, and benefits realisation. The role requires the ability to influence at all levels, manage complex transformation programmes, and deliver sustainable change within challenging timescales.

Main duties of the job

This secondment offers an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead the planning, development, and implementation of the Head and Neck Rapid Diagnostic Centre (RDC) across Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

The postholder will play a key role in driving service transformation and pathway redesign, working collaboratively with clinical, operational, and corporate stakeholders to establish an integrated, efficient, and patient-centred diagnostic service. The role will involve coordinating and supporting the implementation of the RDC model across MSE, ensuring alignment with national guidance, local strategic priorities, and improved patient outcomes.

Working closely with key partners across acute, community, primary care, and Cancer Alliance services, the successful candidate will support the delivery of a sustainable and equitable diagnostic pathway for the Mid and South Essex population.
