Campaign Lead

As a Campaign Lead it will be your responsibility to work as a team to help ensure that SwanseaUniversity Students' Union empowers students to deliver change across the University. Youwill seek to identify and provide students with the services they require while campaigning to improvetheir experience on a national and local scale.The Campaign Lead role is malleable to fit alongside your student life and academic responsibilities. Thetime expectations and input of a Campaign Lead can be adjusted to as much as each individual wishes toput into the role, from one hour to five hours a week. You will be paired with a Full-Time Officer as asupport system to support you in your campaigning efforts and report your activities to the StudentVoice & Communities Manager as your effective Line Manager.Your key responsibility will be to ensure that the group you represent receives the support and servicesthey require. In addition, you will, through research, communication, and campaigning, improve theiroverall experience. For all these roles you are required to self-identify as being a part of the relevantgroup to run in the elections.There are eight Campaign Lead positions in total, five Liberation Officer roles and three Cross-Campus Representative Officer roles. The roles are seen as crucial to the future development of theUnion and are designed to allow you to continue with your studies whilst carrying out your role., The Race Inclusion Campaign Lead role will work closely with the Full-Time Officers and staff to help highlight, research and campaign on issues that affect students across the University and to campaign on issues such as anti-racism & Black History Month. The role of this Campaign Lead is to recognise and represent the views of those students at Swansea University Students' Union at the executive level. The Race Inclusion Campaign Lead will:

• Represent ethnically diverse students of all backgrounds, cultures, faiths and nationalities
• Raise awareness and promote the interests of the students they represent
• Lobby for change across the university
• Plan and run campaigns
• Attend Students' Union meetings and regularly liaise with Officers and key staff
• Chair the student-led Race Inclusion Student Advisory Committee (RISAC), Responsibilities of all Campaign Leads Key Performance Indicator(s)
