Do you have a core registration as a nurse, social worker, registered therapist, OT or other allied health professional? Are you passionate about providing quality mental health support for children and young people up to the age of 18? We are seeking a Senior Practitioner to join our Core CAMHS team who will support you in this exciting opportunity to work with this cohort of children and young people. Worcestershire CAMHS is a well-established service, and you would be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the service to offer robust mental health assessment and planned treatments/interventions. You will be working as part of the wider CAMHS MDT where you will have the opportunity to be supported, learn and grow. The work will be challenging, exciting and rewarding as we promote mental health recovery and empowerment to our Children and Young people This is a 22.5 hours per week position.Main duties of the job The role includes offering mental health assessments and care planning/treatment for moderate to severe mental health illnesses that are experienced by those aged under 18 years. The CAMHS MDT will support you and your clinical decision making in relation to the patients you assess. As a senior colleague you will have opportunity to offer clinical supervision to others as well as offering mentorship to students, trainees. You are expected to engage in your own supervision and be able to communicate with children, young people, families, partner agencies both verbally and in writing to promote mental health recovery. The service operates across Worcestershire with bases in Worcester, Redditch and Kidderminster. Base preference can be discussed by the successful applicant post interview. There will be an expectation to travel between sites to meet the demands of the service. Travel costs are reimbursed, and flexible working options can be considered.
