CAMHS Psychological Professions Practitioner

Main duties of the job Deliver structured, time-limited psychological therapy interventions (typically 612 sessions) for children and young people Manage a defined caseload, maintaining: Clear therapeutic goals Regular review points Planned endings Undertake clinical assessment and risk management in line with CAMHS protocols Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions, contributing to formulation-driven care and appropriate allocation of cases Contribute to timely patient flow, including discharge planning and reducing waiting times Participate in core CAMHS duties, including: Routine assessments Duty clinician rota Screening and triage of referrals Work collaboratively with partner agencies including education, social care, and primary care Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement activity
