CAMHs - Learning Disabilities Tees have a vacancy at Baysdale Respite Service in Middlesbrough for a Registered Staff Nurse - fixed term 9 months. Baysdale respite provides care to children with profound and multiple learning disabilities, secondary physical complexities, behaviours that challenge and autism. The service runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week and nights and weekends are an expectation of the role. The role will involve supporting with personal care needs, administering medication, the assessment and monitoring of physical/mental health issues and liaising with other professionals around any concerns. This role involves a lot of physical health monitoring, for our children with complex physical comorbidities. A background in physical health monitoring and clinical skills is desirable, however training can be offered to those not skilled once in post.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role., Here at Tees, Esk and Wear Valley Foundation NHS Trust, we want you to have a positive experience when you start your new role with us. We run a monthly face to face Trust Welcome Day and where possible, this will be your first day of employment. However, if this date is not possible, you will be required to attend a Trust Welcome Day within 4 weeks of your start date.

The successful applicants will be an effective communicator and demonstrate passion, promoting quality of life and independence. Leadership, delegation and the use of own initiative are also essential aspects of the role. You will need excellent communication skills and be calm, confident and resilient in your approach.
