  • You will work as part of a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering therapeutic care to young people and working closely with families and carers from admission through to discharge., The CAMHS Senior Social Worker is a senior practitioner within Specialist Services, working across inpatient and day patient acute settings. This role offers an opportunity to shape high-quality social work practice within a new inpatient model and contribute to service development, ensuring social work is integral to a bio-psycho-social approach. You will bring a holistic perspective, alongside advanced safeguarding expertise and knowledge of statutory frameworks, into care planning and risk management. The role supports innovative, recovery-focused practice that enables children and young people to move forward positively. Working within a multidisciplinary team you will deliver specialist assessment and intervention for young people with acute mental health needs. You will work closely with families, carers and professional networks, applying knowledge of key legislation including the Children Act, Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act. Operating under the supervision of the Acute Lead Social Worker, you will manage a complex caseload, contribute to MDT working, and provide consultation, supervision and leadership.This senior role combines clinical work with leadership and service development, supporting high standards of practice within a Trust-wide social work network. It is an onsite role, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with some flexibility and occasional travel.
