Full Job Description

Do you want to work in one of the most vibrant, diverse and rewarding areas in London? Joining Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust in Camden can offer you the opportunities and experiences you are looking for. At Central and North West London Foundation Trust we are fully committed to improving the health of all families living in Camden and to help ensure that all children and families fulfil their potential.

The Baby Feeding Team helps families across Camden to meet their infant feeding goals. Families are supported by a team of baby feeding practitioners and a cohort of volunteers.

This role will require the postholder:

To provide clinical and practical infant feeding support to parents with infants and young children as part of the Camden Baby Feeding Team.

- To provide breastfeeding information in the antenatal period to families and the wider community in Camden.

- To provide information and support to enable parents to breastfeed their babies for as long as they wish.

- To ensure information and support provided to parents is in line with UNICEF Baby Friendly standards.

To provide project support to maintain the UNICEF Baby Friendly Gold accreditation in Camden.

To supervise, develop and mentor volunteers as required.

Our Camden Baby Feeding Team is part of a well-developed partnership with the London Borough of Camden Early Year's Service and we are presently implementing a new universal pathway for all families in the first 1001 days.

Camden is one of the early implementers of Family Hubs, which brings additional funding for services for families in the first 1001 days (conception to 2 yrs) and encourages services for families with

children of all ages to be brought together as part of a Family Hub network.

Your experience as a new starter in CNWL is extremely important to us and you can find out how your journey from your first day to the end of your first year will be supported by clicking onto "New Starter Roadmap" which is attached with the job description. Across our organisation we have a thriving set of active staff networks to promote inclusion and communication with our diverse workforce (BAME, LGBTQ+, 50+, Disabled Employees, Women's, Carers and Lived Experience of Mental Health) and staff will have access to a range of personal, financial and wellbeing benefits.
