Full Job Description

We are seeking individuals who are diligent, show attention to detail in all processes and procedures and can patiently complete complex tasks and scrutinise possibly large amounts of information.

  • Organisation and prioritisation of own workload.
  • Always use good health and safety practices
  • Calibration of bespoke company test gears, r.f. measurement systems and proprietary equipment.
  • Support the equipment build and maintenance teams.
  • Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Suggest and collaborate with equipment improvements.
  • Assist production engineers with technical support regarding equipment.
  • Identify equipment requiring replacement and feedback to Line manager.
  • Reduce external service contracts
  • A willingness to work overtime to support production output when necessary.
  • Provide regular progress updates to their Line Manager.

  • BTEC/NVQ 3 in an engineering discipline or able to demonstrate experience in electrical, electronic and r.f. systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and diligence.
  • Basic understanding of technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Able to work within deadlines and budgets.
  • Basic understanding of metrological procedures, processes and guidelines.
  • Understanding of r.f. systems (co-axial and waveguide), d.c. and pulsed high Voltage, temperature, torque, a.c./d.c. Volage/current/power measurement.
  • Desirables: HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.     This is a crucial role within the Teledyne-e2v RF Power Division, the role is to be part of the Equipment team to ensure that RF Power equipment is calibrated in line with production QA requirements and product specifications, and to minimise production down time. This role will be responsible for supporting the RF power functions, production teams, engineering support providing independent assurance and governance.
