Full Job Description

Join our dedicated team at CAFCASS as a Qualified Social Worker in Stevenage, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting children and families. This position requires you to work in-office one day a week, allowing for flexibility while ensuring you remain connected with your colleagues and the community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing ongoing support to families in need. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to families, ensuring the well-being of children.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all casework activities.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for children's best interests.

    A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
