Café / Bar Supervisor

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, organised team player to join our small team, working 42.5 hours per week as a Café/Bar Supervisor at Tattenhall Marina, located just 9 miles outside Chester.

Main Purpose of Job:To be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations of the Café/Bar, including compliance - operating in accordance with the Safer Food Better Business guide., · Opening and end of day duties.

· Taking and preparing orders, ensuring quality and presentation.

· Carrying out daily compliance checks.

· Informing Manager of stock requirements.

· Maintaining a clean, hygienic environment, adhering to food safety procedures.

· Operating the till system, processing payments, and managing stock levels.

· Handling customer queries and complaints politely, recording issues for management.

· Assisting with stocktakes.

· Assisting with events and ensure compliance with licensing and health and safety regulations.

· Lock-up duties at the end of bar shifts.

· Perform additional tasks as requested by the line manager.

This role can also be considered as a job share.

The working hours are Wednesday, Thursday 9:00-16:00, Friday, Saturday 9:00-21:00, Sunday 9:00-16:00

· Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene (provided).

· Fluent in spoken and written English.

2. Experience

· Previous bar or waiting experience is desirable.

· Experience with till operation and cash handling is desirable.
