Full Job Description
We're looking for someone to join our friendly café team at Titchwell Marsh during our busy visitor season. This is a 20-hour per week role for 12 weeks and will include weekend working as part of a rota, planned around three weeks in advance with some flexibility where possible. Full training and induction will be provided. Duties will include preparing barista-style hot drinks, cooking toasties and paninis, serving customers, operating the till, restocking supplies, receiving deliveries and helping keep the café clean, safe and welcoming for visitors. You'll also work alongside our fantastic volunteers and wider reserve team to help create a great visitor experience.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working people person, to work in our café at our Titchwell Marsh Reserve. The ideal candidate will come with previous cafe work experience.,
- Experience working in a café, catering or customer-facing environment
- Experience preparing and serving food and drinks in a busy environment
- Experience using tills and handling payments accurately
- Awareness of health & safety and safe working practices in a customer-facing environment
- Basic food hygiene awareness (or willingness to complete training)
- Positive and proactive approach, with willingness to support across the café operation
- Friendly and confident communication skills when dealing with visitors and colleagues
- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
- Ability to Multi-task in a busy cafe environment
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work on own initiative.
- Experience delivering good customer service and responding positively to customer needs
- Strong team working skills and willingness to support colleagues and volunteers
- Ability to use basic IT systems such as tills, ordering or booking systems, GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Set on the north Norfolk coast between Titchwell and Thornham, RSPB Titchwell Marsh is one of the UK's best-loved nature reserves, with a mix of reedbeds, saltmarsh, lagoons and sandy beach attracting a huge variety of wildlife including Avocets, Marsh Harriers and Bearded Tits.
