Full Job Description

You're an experienced CAD Technician who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality technical drawings and enjoys working as part of a collaborative design team. You're looking for a role where your expertise is valued, your ideas can shape standards and processes, and where the projects you work on make a visible difference., This is more than a drawing production role. You'll help develop and improve CAD standards across the business, support project delivery from concept through to construction, and play an important role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our technical outputs., You'll support the delivery of landscape, infrastructure and EV charging projects by producing accurate technical drawings and maintaining high standards across all design outputs.

  • Produce high-quality 2D AutoCAD drawings and technical design packages to industry standards.
  • Support the delivery of on-street and off-street EV charging infrastructure design projects.
  • Develop and implement enhanced AutoCAD standards and protocols across the business.
  • Ensure drawing outputs are accurate, compliant and aligned with Ground Control quality standards.
  • Present design information and technical data in accordance with company procedures.
  • Deliver drawing packages in line with project programmes, deadlines and client requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Landscape Architects, Arboriculturists, EV specialists and external consultants.
  • Review and check drawings to ensure quality, consistency and accuracy.
  • Support and guide junior team members where appropriate.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with HSQE policies and procedures.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a CAD Technician within landscape, civil engineering, infrastructure or related design environments.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience producing accurate and detailed technical drawing packages.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of current CAD and industry standards.
  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and prioritise multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience using Vectorworks.
  • Experience supporting EV charging infrastructure, highways, utilities, public realm or civil engineering projects.
  • Experience producing on-street and off-street EV charging infrastructure designs.
  • Experience mentoring or checking the work of junior CAD Technicians.
  • Understanding of Building Regulations Part M and Part K.
  • Experience working within landscape architecture or environmental design environments.
