Full Job Description

As a Clinical Reviewer, you will work as part of an independent review panel alongside an Expert by Experience and a delegated Chair to review the care, treatment and, where applicable, education arrangements of children, young people and adults with a learning disability and/or autistic people who are at risk of admission to hospital or are currently receiving inpatient care.

The role involves providing an independent clinical perspective, offering a respectful, professional challenge and scrutiny, and supporting robust, person-centred reviews that ensure people receive the right care, at the right time, in the right place. Reviews aim to improve the quality of care and treatment, reduce unnecessary lengths of stay and support timely discharge planning.

Please note: Previous experience of participating in Care and Treatment Reviews (CTRs) and/or Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews (C(E)TRs) is an desirable requirement for this role., C(E)TRs are carried out by an independent panel of people. This includes a commissioner who funds the person's care ('Chair' - or a person delegated on behalf of East of England PC), an expert by experience (EbE), who is an autistic person or a person with a learning disability or a family carer with lived experience of services. The panel also includes a clinical expert who is qualified to work in health & care.
