Full Job Description
This is a key role within the Business Partnering function within Commercial Finance for Mobile and New Markets. You will be expected to take the lead from a finance perspective on driving P&L performance, articulating drivers in an insight-driven manner to guide decision-making. You will be influencing and shaping commercial outcomes to ensure the business hits its financial performance targets. What you'll be doing
- Finance interface into the EE Marketing (Pricing and Propositions teams), influencing the development of new customer propositions.
- Main point of contact on articulating P&L performance through drivers, along owner of "one source" on profit improvement initiatives.
- Provide robust decision-support to the Marketing team, ensuring pricing and proposition proposals deliver value objectives.
- Ensuring end-to-end finance engagement on propositions pre-launch in order that the budget / mid-term-plan (MTP) reflects the relevant costs and benefits.
- Identification, quantification and mitigation of risks that may arise as a result of both internal and external factors e.g. regulatory, base / churn, ARPU etc..
- Ad hoc commercial analysis / impact assessment of price changes, market impacts and new propositions

Exceptional business partnering skills, ability to quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships, with a proven ability to influence and coach and be prepared to challenge. - Communication skills - translating complex financial outcomes to senior financial and nonfinancial stakeholders through both oral and written communication. Ability to tailor message to the relevant audience, distilling key messages without losing the appropriate level of detail.
- High level of commercial acumen, having the ability to quickly understand new ideas and how they impact the business financially, as well provider suggestions on how they might be improved. Desirable Skills / Experience
- Advanced financial modelling (excel) skills - ability to build/manipulate detailed models to arrive at appropriate outputs/metrics to support decision making.
- Excellent knowledge of finance, covering a breadth of activities and best in class practices and policies ideally from a finance generalist or finance specialist role.
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Experience required of budget management, planning & forecasting and financial business partnering
- Knowledge of Mobile telecoms preferable but not essential.
