An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Business Manager to support the Chief People Officer at London Ambulance Service NHS Trust. This is a pivotal senior management role at the heart of the People and Culture directorate. You will operate with a high level of autonomy and discretion, ensuring the effective management of the Chief People Officer's business, priorities, and strategic agenda. You will play a key role in coordinating the delivery of organisational objectives, leading programmes of work, and ensuring that the directorate operates efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and complex environment.,

  • Manage the day-to-day business of the Chief People Officer, ensuring priorities and objectives are clearly articulated and delivered.
  • Lead and oversee strategic programmes and projects to support delivery of directorate and Trust-wide objectives.
  • Provide high-quality briefings, reports, and presentations to support decision-making at executive and Board level.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, building strong partnerships across the Trust and beyond.
  • Coordinate performance management arrangements and ensure delivery against plans, targets, and key priorities.
  • Support the Chief People Officer with Board business, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
  • Provide oversight of budgets and financial performance across the directorate.
  • Horizon scan national policy and external developments, advising on implications for the Trust., Our strategy 2023-2028 outlines how we plan to achieve this, and is centred upon three missions focused on:
