The position of Teacher of Business and Economics is an exciting opportunity to work in an established and successful department bringing new ideas and opportunities for students in our Sixth Form and throughout the school.

The Social Sciences Department is extremely successful with pupils consistently achieving outstanding results at A Level. Business and Economics is an integral part of this department and as such you will have the opportunity to teach and guide pupils who are ambitious, intellectually curious and hard-working. Our curriculum comprises Business A Level and Economics A Level, both with Pearson Edexcel. Our class sizes are small which means that teaching is bespoke and personalised to individual needs. Our teachers can make significant impact, establishing effective and productive partnerships with pupils and parents, which results in excellent progress and high value-add scores.

Business and Economics are taught for the first time in Sixth Form and pupils develop the independent skills which enable them to engage with complex real-world issues and problems. Both subjects enable pupils to understand the world around them and current economic issues and challenges.

Our Social Science pupils continue their studies at a range of prestigious universities in the UK and abroad. Recent destinations include Bath, Durham, Exeter, Leeds, LSE and UCL with Business, Accounting, Finance and Economics being popular subject choices.
